Back to life...

We got back into town about 7:30 on Tuesday evening and we're both glad to be home. We missed our kitties and our own pillows. It usually takes a day before I really feel like working again. Then I remember that I love my clients and they remind me with all their different personalities how much I love what I do for a living. Sure beats sitting behind a desk! I never really considered myself much of a people person until I got the Luv-Bug. A fast acting virus I've had since July 4th of 2005 that gently nudges me outside my comfort zone on a regular basis. I mean look at me now, I've got lots of friends, I'm blogging and doing crazy things like 1/2 Ironmen. I never thought I'd be doing what I'm doing. I have to say that a large amount of credit goes to him for giving me confidence, unearthing dormant potential and helping me see that I'm worthy.

The next venture is to attempt the 1/2 Ironman in Arkadelphia. I promised myself and Chris that I would do that one if I didn't finish or get to finish the one in Kansas. So training starts for that next week. I feel like I know what I need to do to be ready for it this time. But different course + different weather conditions = huge difference. I've already ridden the bike course for it. All chip and seal and pot holes. Quite frankly, it scares the hell outta me, but I'm going to do it and I'm going to finish!

So here we are, back to life in real time. How fortunate I am that it's a good life! I have a wonderful husband, great family and circle of friends, precious little furballs, I'm healthy, want for nothing and I love what I do for a living...Life Is Good!

You ARE worthy! You're in such a great place right now. Chris is an amazing guy, but YOU are the one who makes the choice to be as awesome as you are. Congrats and Kudos! I'll be down for some long rides whenever you are ready.

Being one of those desk-jockey's as of late, I can say that I would LOVE it if I didn't work behind a desk. Maybe in the near future!

By the way, it's hard for me to believe that you don't consider yourself a people person. You haven't just been my trainer for the past 6 months, but I think you've been my therapist too! Thanks for listening to all my chattering and tirades while we've worked out. I already miss it.

Which reminds me, isn't it time for a GIRLS NIGHT OUT????
